A design-sociology survey on the bathroom
Ben Weiyang Wu is a multidisciplinary designer who specializes in idea-driven identity, web design, and creative direction. He is a devoted generalist who enjoys the cyclical process of iteration, constantly experimenting with new technologies to make the theoretical real. Drawing inspiration from aesthetic origins and the work of non-designers, he chases designs that stay with people by capturing moments of surprise among the ordinary.

Applied Imagination Review
The Applied Imagination Review is an annual publication that captures L+R’s perspective on what's next in strategy, design, and technology, and operations. Volume Three, published in 2026, focused on AI, spatial computing, and the organizational shifts influencing workflows. While the publication needed to speculate upon the future, the design question focused on how to make the present feel permanent.

Tool anxiety is not a modern condition, and neither is the urge to record what matters and make it last. Despite being separated by centuries, stone tablets and touchscreens are the same object. Will the technology of today feel like the remnants of another time in ten years? The design system approaches today’s technology under the lens of a museum collection: framed, catalogued, and worth displaying. Conceived as an artifact, the publication preserves a moment in time between its covers. Readers excavate L+R's vision page by page, uncovering the layers of thought, process, and craft that shaped the work. Historic letterforms carry AI forecasts, while a restrained palette allows the imagery and client work to carry the argument. Printed and distributed at MWC Barcelona, Volume Three is designed as if it were already history.
